Tsunami Relief
         FOCI Involvment

In response to the tsunami on December 26, 2004, many generous people gave money to FOCI with the intent that we use our partners in India to help those whose lives had been devastated by the crisis.

Using those gifts, our partners in India and our 2005 FOCI India mission team took aid directly to where it was needed, ultimately spending over $80,000 on disaster assistance.

Within a few weeks of the disaster, food sufficient for 2 weeks was provided for 300 people in the coastal village of Pallepalem and new boats, motors and fishing nets were provided to all of the residents of the costal village of Ramulapalem, allowing the entire village to resume their livelihood of fishing.

Handing Out Food
